Watch the DIY Divas Make a Supercharged Anti-Aging Serum
Video Transcript on How to Make a Supercharged Anti-Aging Serum
Hi! We are the DIY Divas, Karen and Tonia. Today, Karen, we will create an all-in-one anti-aging serum loaded with clinically proven peptides to help.
Before you start, make sure you have a sanitized area to work with.
You want to make sure to sanitize all of your equipment as well. If you're unsure about the steps involved, watch our Beauty Blending 101 video. Next, set out any equipment and supplies you will use, including a handheld mixer, spatulas, airless container, funnel, glass bowl, etc.
Start with 1 ounce of Hyaluronic Acid and pour it into a glass container. Tonia uses a Pyrex glass bowl with a spout for easy pouring. Hyaluronic Acid is a humectant; it pulls moisture from the air and helps your skin retain moisture, which gives it a more youthful appearance.
The added hydration provides supple-looking skin. It helps. It's an oil-free gel that is great for all skin types, including combinations.
Add 5% Matrixyl 3000, 10% Argireline, and 5% Pepha Tight to a Supercharged Anti-Aging Serum formulation.
Matrixyl was chosen in this serum because it is the best peptide for helping your skin look youthful. Argireline helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and Dr. Oz raves about the results when applied in a 10% concentration twice a day. Finally, Pepha Tight firms the effects of gravity.
What We Offer! Lotion Making Supplies and Peptides
You can find these ingredients individually in our DIY Lotion Making Supplies or a try-me-kit. Every order comes with a guide to help you determine how much of each peptide you need to add to Hyaluronic Acid.
Karen and Tonia read the chart to determine how much each DIY Serum Booster will need to add. For the Matrixyl 3000 and Pepha Tight, they will add 1/2 teaspoon. For the Argireline, add one teaspoon.
The DIY Divas begin adding in their Serum Boosters. One by one, they add each ingredient—the Divas finish adding all the boosters. Karen then grabs the handheld blender and mixes for about 2 minutes. Scrape off any excess serum left on the mixer with a spatula.
Place your funnel in your airless container and pour the supercharged anti-aging serum up to the fill line. Put the lid on and twist the cap on tightly.
You made another serum in less than 5 minutes! Excellent job, Karen and Tonia.
Store this serum in the fridge for up to seven days without a preservative. If you want to make this serum last longer and no need to store it in the refrigerator, add Leucidal Liquid or Liquid Complete at a 4% concentration.
Thanks for watching it. See you next time!
